There’s no harm in checking your eligibility for such great programs. The reward is more than you could’ve asked for. You will get a free phone along with awesome deals. As one of the biggest providers in the United States, AT&T is reputable. Hence, their products and services guarantee satisfaction.
That being said, there’s no harm in checking what other competitors have to offer. We recommend reading The Verizon Wireless Free Government Phone to see your options. And if you want to make sure you’ll only get a modern smartphone, check out the 10 Best Free Touch Screen Government Phones Provider in 2020 as well. Whichever you choose, make sure you know how to optimize the use of your plans and packages.
Keep in mind that if you get a free government phone from one particular provider, the phone will be “locked” to its services. In other words, you cannot switch providers within the contract period. Getting a free phone from AT&T means that the phone will only work with the AT&T network and not with others. The same goes for Verizon, Straight Talk, and other providers. So before choosing, make sure you live in their coverage area. Also, do take a look at their packages to see if any suits you. Only then you sign up for the free phone program.
If this is not what you’re looking for, you may consider getting a phone without a contract. This may be an uncommon option. Getting one can be tricky, depending on the service you’re planning on using. Do take a look at “How Do We Get A Free Cell Phone Without Contract?” and see your options.
